About

Benjamin F. Edwards & Co. provides investment advice and related services to a broad client base that includes individual (including high‑net‑worth) investors, retirement plans, trusts, estates, and corporate clients. Services include discretionary and non‑discretionary wrap fee investment programs, financial planning, retirement plan consulting, investment management consulting, and plan participant consulting.

The firm offers a mix of model‑based and customized strategies—mutual fund, active/passive and ETF portfolios, equity and separately managed strategies, tax transition and private portfolios, and a Unified Managed Account that uses BNY Mellon Advisors as an overlay manager. Clients work with a BFE financial advisor to select a strategy appropriate to their objectives and risk profile; BFE and its third‑party managers conduct ongoing due diligence, monitoring and periodic rebalancing (models are generally strategic with multi‑year horizons).

Compared with many large advisory firms, BFE also operates as a broker‑dealer, maintains an in‑house equity and fixed‑income trading desk, and is a member of the National Futures Association as an Independent Introducing Broker, while offering insurance and M&A advisory services. The firm implements custody and clearance services as part of its wrap programs through its clearing relationship with Pershing (a qualified custodian) and operates a cash sweep program; BFE has also been the subject of recent FINRA and SEC supervisory matters that it says prompted remediation to its policies and controls.
